

The Mt. Range is a neat coat hook rack by Brave Space of Brooklyn, NY. They make these from off-cuts of wood. The beauty of the FSC-certified maple layers inside is heightened by the irregular angles, giving the rack a very appealing snow-capped mountain range appearance. I love how this can look like a wall sculpture when not in use, but is actually a very functional coat hook rack in disguise.

Yahïa Ouled-Moussa is the designer behind this chair that just begs to be sat on. It's made with fabric belts woven together to create the webbing. No need to strap yourself in, though.

The creations of Bridget West, these Care Label cushions are an interesting take on repurposed materials. She creates these unique cushions by stitching together hundreds of fabric care labels. Taking hardly-noticed mundane elements and bringing them together is something we like to talk about. This is another terrific example.
She also makes a cushion from clothing brand tags, which has a totally different look but is based on the same concept. Her collection includes furniture, artwork, accessories and more.

Brushwood is a carpet that mimics the texture of forest growth, designed by Dima Loganoff. The highly tactile surface is created by combining hundreds of pieces of cut felt in different shades of brown. The effect is a cross between forest undergrowth and a thicket of branches.
