Lego White Out

Topviewlegowhiteout
At first glance these look like Lego building blocks for  young kids. In reality, these toys are disguising something more functional: white out tape. This product is probably meant to appeal to kids or teens as a fun alternative to office-supply-like white out tape dispensers. How fun would it be to have toy blocks on your desk? It would sure raise the teacher's suspicions that you may just be having too much fun in class.

These are from Korea, so I have no idea if you can find these in the US or not.

Ford Capri Revival?

Picture_10

Rumor has it that Ford is bringing back the Capri, a British 70s classic. Apparently production will start in 2012. Whether it's true or not, and if it'll be exclusively for the UK market remains to be seen.

All I can say is - Oh goody gumdrops!

A beautiful wine thermometer by Swiss designer Jakob Wagner for MENU.  I first discovered it at BODIE and FOU - definitely worth a visit for other neat design finds.

Poolga iPhone Wallpapers

Jellyfishpoolga
Now that you have an iPhone and the novelty has worn off a bit, it's time to get busy downloading some neat wallpapers for your phone from Poolga. The nice, big touchscreen is the perfect backdrop for a full-color wallpaper (unless you opt for something black n' white like this or this). Check out their flickr collection to see them as they'd appear on screen.

(The images here are a couple of hand-drawn wallpapers I did that are now available on Poolga. I hope you like them!)

Coffee for One

Picture_13
I've discovered a neat little coffee maker called the WMF 1 from German appliance company, WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG). The styling alone is worth noting, but the way it works is so simple it's worth mentioning, too. You use little coffee pods with enough coffee for one serving, while the reservoir holds enough water for one cup. The appliance comes in other accent colors, like green, yellow and gray. I really like the design and hope the user experience is at least as good as the styling. If anyone has ever used this, let me know what your experience with the product was like.

Lego USB

2up

Here's a neat little gadget for lifetime Lego fans. These make a nice gift - and not just for kids, either. I'll bet you can stack these and keep your flash USB drives organized. The color coding helps, too! $69 at Chares & Marie.

Robot Guitar

Gibson

I have to admit I don't know too much about guitars. I own a $10 Yamaha second hand scappy piece that almost never gets played. That's why I am not going to try explain this guitar to you except that it self tunes itself. Check out what to pros have to say.
Also check out Gibson

Don't Eat Your Cell Phone Charm

Cookie1

These are so convincing, even the closeups look like legit cookies. I'd sure like to know what they're REALLY made of, if it isn't cookie dough.

Closeups after the jump.

Air Conditioning for the Brain

Brain_radiator

Japanese scientist, Takashi Saito along with his colleagues at Yamaguchi University have developed and patented a cooling system that can be surgically buried in the skull. They claim that it will cool and calm the over-heated brains of epileptics during a seizure.

"The cooling apparatus consists of a metal plate or wire buried in the skull, and a heat pipe connected to a radiator outside the skull which allows the heat to dissipate."
